    Bike Things that amuse you

Just learned Fezzari rebranded as Ari. For their entire existence, every time a site (eg pinkbike) posted a review, the comments would avalanche with ‘name sounds cheap, like a fake Ferrari’ comments and Fezzari would pretend that this was ‘the first time’ they’d heard that comment and get REAL defensive. The actual performance of the bike would get overlooked as everyone debated the impact of a brand name on resale.
Know of a pair of Fischer Ranger 107Ti 189s (new or used) for sale? PM me.

I love my Fez. Saw a couple Ari ebikes in the wild yesterday and wanted to ask questions, but quickly got left in the dust.

Generally speaking, I don't have a problem with Ari. In fact, I picked up a 24in wheeled hardtail for the boy last year. Decent spec, cheap AF.

What I'll never forget is the fact that when they started up they marketed their bikes as designed and built in the USA when they were clearly just open mold carbon frames with a fucking sticker on them. Don't lie to me.

Every pack/hydration/non-bike brand has hopped on the bikepack/saddle bag/feed bag bandwagon, thus saturating a once-niche market.

I think they should have gone fully formal as Aristotle.

He goes by Ari only to friends and family.

It's a better name, but still amusing. Mostly because it looks like it should be pronounced like pizza not like Pisa, but that would also kinda sound funny.
But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

I now own a full suspension Huffy.

It was free, looks barely ridden. It's bouncy and kind of terrifying.

I have not swapped the sic[rim] yet since the cracked wheel rides fine.

Well, $200 for a complete DT 360 (?) Wheelset with carbon rims…that’s fair as fuck.
    Wait…there’s no freehub body?
    Eh…

Well, I just picked the set up for $150, and it has a XD freehub body on it, so I just need to lace on the new rim and I have a cheap carbon wheelset.
The rear rim is pretty much cracked 50% of the way thru, but the guy I got it from says he rode it some more trying to totally kill it but it held on...
